The Bell Blue Raiders are taking a road trip to take on the Byron Nelson Bobcat at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Bell has struggled recently with eight defeats in a row, while Byron Nelson will arrive with four straight wins.
Bell lost 12-1 to Southlake Carroll on Monday.
Kaylee Rinn was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Bell saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Harper Sanders, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Byron Nelson made sure to put some runs up on the board against Northwest on Monday. The Bobcat's pitcher stepped up to hand the Texans a 10-0 shutout. The Bobcat might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by six runs or more this season.
Abbi Hicks tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February.
On the hitting side, Byron Nelson got a massive performance out of Bryson Farco, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave Farco a new career-high. Kaylee Vien was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Byron Nelson's record now sits at 21-2-1. As for Bell, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11-1.
Bell might still be hurting after the 14-6 defeat they got from Byron Nelson when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Blue Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
