Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, McHenry couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were just a hair shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 28-27 to the Cary-Grove Trojans. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, McHenry saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addison Hoffman picked up 91 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 66 yards and one TD. Hoffman got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 60 yards. Brooklyn Anderson was another key player, throwing for 237 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of her passes.
