They enjoyed a cozy 35-20 victory over Praise Academy on Monday. That's another feather in the cap for Trinity Christian School of Griffin, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Trinity Christian School of Griffin was led to victory by McKinleigh Norwood and Leah McLaurin. Norwood scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals, while McLaurin scored eight points along with eight steals and six rebounds. McLaurin has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Aubrey Spitzer was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Trinity Christian School of Griffin's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Praise Academy, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian School of Griffin won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Pike County is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Praise Academy, they will head out on the road to take on the Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lafayette Christian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
