Gilmer barely beat LaFayette the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Gilmer was the clear victor by a 6-2 margin over LaFayette on Thursday. Yenifer Lopez was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Gilmer's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those three contests. As for LaFayette, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gilmer will host Chestatee at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for LaFayette, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 5:30 p.m. on April 10.
