It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Fonda-Fultonville Braves can now relate to. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 46-26 walloping at the hands of the Wolverines on Saturday. Fonda-Fultonville's defeat signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak.
When it comes to explaining why Fonda-Fultonville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Keegan Croucher. Despite the final result, he threw for 422 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.7% of his passes.
It was another big night for Joey Tomasso, who threw for 333 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.8 yards per attempt, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground for Waverly. Xavier Watson was another key contributor, picking up 161 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Fonda-Fultonville's loss dropped their record down to 13-2. As for Waverly, they have yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 13-1 record.
Fonda-Fultonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Waverly also has no future games currently scheduled.
