Baseball Recap: Royal Beats Kennedy for Their Fourth Straight Win

Royal won the last time they faced Kennedy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Highlanders came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 11-8. Winning may never get old, but the Highlanders sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Noah Vasquez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Nagy, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Royal was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.

Royal's record now sits at 20-4. As for Kennedy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Royal will host Camarillo at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kennedy, they will be playing at home against North Hollywood at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars are facing the Huskies at the right time seeing as the Huskies are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
