The Waldron Mohawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell to Edinburgh 56-51. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Waldron in their matchups with Edinburgh: they've now lost seven in a row.
Waldron's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keith Settles, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Jones, who scored 5 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
Waldron's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Edinburgh, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waldron will take on Morristown at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Morristown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday. Edinburgh and North Decatur will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. North Decatur and Edinburgh are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
