The Wakefield Bombers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Little River Redskins at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th.
On Tuesday, Wakefield was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 41-35 to Southern Cloud co-op [Miltonvale/Glasco]. Wakefield has struggled against Southern Cloud co-op [Miltonvale/Glasco] recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Aidan Langley, who scored nine points. Daxton Summerson was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, Little River didn't have too much trouble with Central Christian on the road on Saturday as they won 45-27. That 45-27 margin sets a new team best for Little River this season.
Logan Renken and Jaxson Konen were among the main playmakers for Little River as the former scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals and the latter scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Ty Janette, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Wakefield bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Little River, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Wakefield was dealt a bruising 78-16 defeat at the hands of Little River in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Wakefield, Braxton Lafferty (who scored 31 points along with seven steals and six rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
