The Central Christian Saints and the Jones Christian Academy Warrior squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Central Christian Saints had to settle for second. They took a 72-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warrior. Central Christian's loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.
Despite the defeat, Central Christian saw an underclassman step up: Jarrod Harmon scored 25 points along with five assists. Harmon hasn't dropped below 18 points for 11 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Knapp, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Central Christian's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-6. As for Jones Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Central Christian will take on Calvary Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Central Christian is coming into the matchup with four straight defeats on the road, meaning Calvary Christian Academy will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. Jones Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
