 Meanwhile, Lakota East was able to grind out a solid  victory over Pickerington Central on Saturday, taking the game  7-4. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Thunderhawks.
 Lakota East pushed their record up to 14-8 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Edgewood, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.
