It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Lincoln ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They snuck past St. Mary's with a 77-71 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Anthony Moore was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 33 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Donez Lindsey was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Laguna Creek didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Kennedy on Friday, but they still walked away with a 55-49 victory. Given Laguna Creek's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 168th, while Kennedy is ranked 342nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kj Ramey continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jalen Flenory, who scored six points along with six assists and four steals.

This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Lincoln have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Laguna Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.1 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Lincoln beat Laguna Creek 71-64 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Lincoln have another victory up their sleeve, or will Laguna Creek turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
