With a playoff game on the line, Papillion-LaVista rose to the challenge  on Friday. They came out on top against the Omaha Central Eagles by a score of  14-7. This was payback for the Monarchs, who suffered  a  27-7  defeat the last time these two teams met.
 Papillion-LaVista can attribute much of their success to  Brody Parr, who rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave  Parr a new career-high in  rushing yards.
 Papillion-LaVista's defense stepped up as well, laying out   B.J. Newsome. four times. Omaha Central's QB  won't forget  Logan Holtmeyer anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Holtmeyer is also on a roll when it comes to  total tackles, as he's  now  made six or more in the last four games he's  played.  Kale Johnson was another major factor on D,  picking up  a  sack and making 11 total tackles (3.0 for loss).
 Papillion-LaVista's record is now 7-3. As for Omaha Central,  with the  loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4.
 Papillion-LaVista's road trip will continue as they head out to face Omaha Westside at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Omaha Westside will roll in looking for their  11th straight  victory, something Papillion-LaVista surely won't give up without a fight. Omaha Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
