Cathedral has gone 9-1 against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Fighting Irish will square off against the Trojans at 10:00 a.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Cathedral is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They never let Herron get on the board and left with an 18-0 win. The Fighting Irish haven't had any issues with the Achaeans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Connor Christiansen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.
In other pitching news, Junior Belford looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

Cathedral was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Herron only posted a batting average of .176.
Meanwhile, Indianapolis Bishop Chatard got the win against Indianapolis Crispus Attucks on Saturday by a conclusive 16-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.
Indianapolis Bishop Chatard's win bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Cathedral, their victory bumped their record up to 19-9.
Everything went Cathedral's way against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard when the teams last played back in May, as Cathedral made off with an 11-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fighting Irish since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
