Even though The Gentry Pioneers scored an imposing 34 points on Friday, the Lincoln Wolves still came out on top. Lincoln strolled past Gentry with points to spare, taking the game 53-34. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lincoln.
Kale Jones had a dynamite game for Lincoln, rushing for 320 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.2 yards per carry, and also throwing for 82 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Jace Birkes, who picked up 219 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Gentry, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Elkins the next time they take the field. Gentry will head out to face Elkins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Lincoln will host them at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
