There's no place like home for the Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road  last Monday. They skirted past Lexington  57-54. The  victory was all the more spectacular given Deer Creek-Mackinaw's disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings  (they are ranked 557th, while the Minutemen are ranked 185th).
 Defeat or not, Lexington got some senior leadership from  Ethan Storm and  Griffen Hari.  Storm  scored 20 points along with three  steals, while  Hari.  scored 19 points along with seven  rebounds and two  steals. Storm is on a roll when it comes to  steals, as he's  now  grabbed three or more in the last three games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Michael Olson, who  scored eight points along with five  rebounds.
 Deer Creek-Mackinaw's win bumped their record up to 7-17. As for Lexington, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 18-7 record this season.
 Deer Creek-Mackinaw will  challenge the Boilermakers at 5:30  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Lexington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
