It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Ralston Valley Mustangs had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Rock Canyon at home to the tune of 42-14. The win was familiar territory for Ralston Valley who now have four in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Logan Madden, who threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Jackson Hansen did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 89 receiving yards.
Ralston Valley's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Rock Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Ralston Valley will head out on the road to face off against Pine Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pine Creek is on a six-game streak of home wins, Ralston Valley a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Rock Canyon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
