The St. Helens Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 67-53 win over Tillamook. That result was just more of the same for these two, as St. Helens also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Tillamook saw an underclassman step up: Aubrey Hilton scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hilton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Vivian Vogel, who scored 11 points.
The win got St. Helens back to even at 7-7. As for Tillamook, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Helens will challenge Seaside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seaside presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than St. Helens in Oregon (Seaside is ranked 46th, while St. Helens is ranked 129th). As for Tillamook, they will head out on the road to square off against Astoria at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
