The Hamilton Knights will challenge Canastota at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Hamilton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.
Hamilton will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Saturday, then bounced right back against Copenhagen on Saturday. The Knights blew past the Golden Knights 15-3. Considering the Knights have won four games by more than 11 runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Ellie Freeth made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Polly Hansen-Rodriguez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Sicily Catania, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Hamilton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .548. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Canastota suffered their biggest defeat since April 17, 2025 on Friday. They came up short against Oneida, falling 15-2.
Hamilton's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Canastota, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Hamilton came out on top in a nail-biter against Canastota in their previous meeting back in May of 2016, sneaking past 8-7. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will Canastota turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
