If Waldron was feeling good  fresh off their  20-6 takedown of Wonderview last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Waldron fell just short of the Dardanelle Sand Lizards by a score of  6-5 on Friday. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their  loss to the Sand Lizards from their previous meeting  back in April of 2024.
  Khloe Summit was cooking despite her team's loss,   getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with one  home run and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Emily Kluthe, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI.
Waldron's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Dardanelle,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 5-6.
 Waldron and Dardanelle will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next  matchups. The next time Waldron sees the field they'll take on Mansfield  at 4:30  p.m.  on  the 31st. As for Dardanelle, their break will end when they face Morrilton  at 5:00  p.m.  on  the 31st.
