Baseball Recap: Walnut Hills Wins Going Away Against Winton Woods

Walnut Hills's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They blew past the Winton Woods Warriors 12-2. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won eight in a row.

J.T. Thornton was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Charles Albright was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Walnut Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Winton Woods only posted an OBP of .391.

Walnut Hills' record is now 2-3. As for Winton Woods, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Winton Woods didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-3 defeat against Withrow on the 17th. Hopefully Walnut Hills paid attention to the Warriors' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
