After two games on the road, Paw Paw is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Niles Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Paw Paw will be strutting in after a win while Niles will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, the stars were shining brightly for Paw Paw in a 50-35 victory over Plainwell. Given Paw Paw's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Plainwell is ranked 330th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Niles, who are still winless after their fifth game. They had to suffer through a rough 64-31 loss at the hands of Mattawan.
Paw Paw's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Niles, they bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Paw Paw against Niles when the teams last played back in February as the squad secured a 87-44 victory. Will Paw Paw repeat their success, or does Niles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
