Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Leland). They walked away with a 13-10 win over the Leigh Longhorns on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Chargers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Ella Fergason was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Lily O'Hanneson was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five runs and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Leland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
