Basketball Recap: St. Anne-Pacelli Piles Up the Points Against Brookstone

St. Anne-Pacelli won the last time they faced Brookstone and things went their way on Tuesday too. The St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings blew past the Brookstone Cougars 60-20. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 29 points or more this season.

St. Anne-Pacelli's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mckayla Hosley, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 14 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. Hosley is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Za'Niya Crouch, who went 6-for-7 en route to 13 points.

Hosley wasn't the only one working in the assist department: St. Anne-Pacelli was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brookstone only posted two assists.

St. Anne-Pacelli's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Brookstone, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, St. Anne-Pacelli and Brookstone will both be playing Westfield School the next time they take the court. Brookstone will head out to face Westfield School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while St. Anne-Pacelli will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
