Adding to the longest winning streak in Big North - United this week, Paramus Catholic beat St. Ignatius 44-10. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Paladins.
St. Joseph Regional took down Bergen Catholic 49-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Spencer Aukamp threw for 204 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 50 yards during the win.
Steve Shanley threw for 281 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Shanley put up the best numbers in passing as Paramus Catholic bested the Wildcats. Shanley's favorite target this week was Tyrone Washington, who caught 2 passes for 112 yards.
Chris Partridge's team's Shanley and Najee Clayton led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Shanley has thrown for 829 yards this season, while Clayton, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 22 catches for 327 yards. The Crusaders' Corey Russo leads the league in rushing yards with 353.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place St. Joseph Regional takes on second place Paramus Catholic. The Green Knights bested Bergen Catholic last week, while the Paladins beat St. Ignatius.
