Ferris has gone a perfect 4-0 against Hillsboro recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Ferris Yellowjackets will be playing at home against the Hillsboro Eagles at 2:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Ferris is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Kennedale on Tuesday as Ferris made off with a 22-5 win. Considering the Yellowjackets have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Landri Davis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs.
In other batting news, Aubrie Henson was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Valorie Carrillo, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Ferris always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They are undefeated (6-0) when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Hillsboro came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 21-17.
Hillsboro got a massive performance out of Cloe Creech, who got on base in all six of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Laci Forns, who went 3-for-5 with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.
Hillsboro pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Ferris, the win got them back to even at 8-8-2.
Everything went Ferris' way against Hillsboro in their previous matchup back in March of 2021, as Ferris made off with a 19-3 victory. Does Ferris have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hillsboro turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
