The Dunedin Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 97-36 loss at the hands of Clearwater. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Dunedin in their matchups with Clearwater: they've now lost nine in a row.
Dunedin's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anna Patterson, who scored 10 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Clincy, who scored 9 points.
Dunedin bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Clearwater, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Dunedin will stay at home for another game and welcome Tarpon Springs at 7:45 p.m. on December 6th. Allowing an average of 61 points per game, Tarpon Springs has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this match. Clearwater will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Seminole at 8:00 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Seminole focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Wednesday.
