Thompson scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Pelham, 31-16. At the time, the Panthers were ranked 22nd in the state, while the Warriors were 85th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Thompson, who took down 22nd ranked Pelham, 31-16.
Kamryn Pettway provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Prattville beat Wetumpka. Pettway's favorite target this week was Keegan Smith, who caught 2 passes for 53 yards.
Mickey Forrest put up the best numbers through the air as Spain Park bested Chelsea. He finished with 10 completions for 120 yards. Forrest's favorite target this week was Dalton Brown, who caught 2 passes for 46 yards.
Pettway was the most successful running back in 6A Region 4 this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 151 yards as the Lions topped the Indians. Teammate Kingston Davis added to the ground attack by rushing for 46 yards.
Smith was the best wideout in the league this week as Prattville beat Wetumpka.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Jaguars' Forrest and Brown have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-11 quarterback Forrest has thrown for 457 yards this season, while Brown has 7 catches for 135 yards. Chad Anderson's team's Pettway leads the league in rushing yards with 426.
As it stands, the Indians are in third, while Spain Park is in second.
Michael Montgomery's team moved up to 45 from 85 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 6A Region 4. The Warriors were able to make move up by besting Brett Burnett's team 31-16.
