They will be home for the holidays to greet the Nixon-Smiley Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. Nixon-Smiley took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on South San Antonio West, who comes in off a win.
Even though South San Antonio West has not done well against Natalia recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. South San Antonio West took down Natalia 43-25.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 63-19, which was the final score in Nixon-Smiley's tilt against Lytle on Friday. While losing is never fun, Nixon-Smiley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1168th, while Lytle is ranked 300th).
South San Antonio West pushed their record up to 8-9 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Nixon-Smiley, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
