The Salem Hills Skyhawks lost against the Wasatch Wasps back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Salem Hills took a 67-49 bruising from Wasatch. Salem Hills has struggled against Wasatch recently, as their game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Salem Hills lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Hattie Parkinson, who scored eight points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chenielle Nye, who scored 12 points.
Salem Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Wasatch, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.
Salem Hills will head out on the road to square off against Cedar Valley at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Cedar Valley is ranked 39th, while Salem Hills is ranked 29th). As for Wasatch, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spanish Fork at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
