The Wright City Lumberjax have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 22 points or more this season. They breezed by McCurtain on the road to the tune of 74-41. Wright City's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Madison Carter was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with seven steals. The game was her 12th in a row with at least ten points. Braileigh Threadgill was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
The victory for Wright City keeps them at an undefeated 12-0. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25 points. As for McCurtain, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wright City won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Oktaha on January 5th. Oktaha is on a four-game streak of home wins, Wright City a eight-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for McCurtain, they will head out on the road to face off against Canadian on Saturday. Canadian is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
