Despite the loss, Shadow Ridge still got an impressive performance from Olivia Holub, who scored 12 points along with two steals. Holub hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games.
It was another big night for Lakeisha Robinson, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals for Cesar Chavez. Another player making a difference was Dalaiha Madden, who scored five points along with six steals.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shadow Ridge won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Maricopa will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Stallions are ranked 94th). As for Cesar Chavez, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Monsoon at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Valley Vista is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
