Softball Recap: Tinora Comes Up Short

If Tinora was riding high fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Antwerp on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams fell just short of the Patrick Henry Patriots by a score of 10-9 on Tuesday. Even though they lost, the Rams' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.1 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Savannah Schroeder was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Spangler, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

Tinora has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 16 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games. As for Patrick Henry, their record now sits at 16-6.

Tinora does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Patrick Henry, they will venture away from home to square off against Ayersville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pilots' pitching crew has only allowed 0.6 runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
