Porter-Gaud and First Baptist School are an even 5-5 against one another  since March of 2018, but likely not for long.  Meanwhile, First Baptist School came up short against Pinewood Prep on Thursday and fell  7-2.
 First Baptist School's loss dropped their record down to 12-6-1. As for Porter-Gaud, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
 Porter-Gaud was able to grind out a solid  win over First Baptist School in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024, winning  12-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cyclones since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
