James Liss of Taft ran for the longest rushing play in Chicago Public - Big Shoulders this season against Mather last week. Liss ran for 64 yards on the play and finished with 159 on the day as his team topped the Rangers.
Michael Harris and Anthony Kowalczyk provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Lincoln Park. The connection was good for 70 yards, the longest such play in the league this season.
Steinmetz's dynamic duo of Harris and Kowalczyk proved tough for the Lions to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Harris threw for 70 yards and one touchdown and Kowalczyk had 70 yards receiving.
Schurz's Joseph Ruidias and Antonio Ayala have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Ruidias has thrown for 371 yards this season, while Ayala, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has five catches for 146 yards. Liss from Taft leads the league in rushing with 660 yards.
A big matchup in Chicago Public - Big Shoulders this week will be when Foreman takes on the Silver Streaks. The Hornets are currently in third, while Steinmetz is in second.
Foreman was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. Earlier in the week, Peter Grazzini's team defeated the Bulldogs 17-14.
