Western Plains/Healy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Weskan, falling 71-43. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Western Plains/Healy in their matchups with the Coyotes: they've now lost eight in a row.
It was another big night for Trey Allen, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds for Weskan. That makes it three consecutive games in which Allen has scored at least a third of Weskan's points. Another player making a difference was Karsyn Wright, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Western Plains/Healy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Weskan, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.
Western Plains/Healy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. As for Weskan, they will square off against the Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northern Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Coyotes in Kansas (the Huskies are ranked 90th, while the Coyotes are ranked 208th).
