Albany is 1-9 against the Tigers since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Albany Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Princeton Tigers at 7:30 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Albany has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while the Tigers will arrive with five straight victories.
Last Tuesday, Albany was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 40-35 to the Shamrocks.
Meanwhile, Princeton put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 67-31 victory over Stanberry. Given Princeton's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 187th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 509th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Albany has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Princeton, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.
Albany came up short against the Tigers in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 53-43. Can Albany avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
