The Bandys Trojans can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 61-35 margin over Lincolnton. The victory was just what Bandys needed coming off of a 77-42 loss in their prior match.
Bandys' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Haley Cross led the charge by scoring 16 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Cross is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Kate Dutka, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Lincolnton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sarah Rhyne. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rhyne has scored all season.
Lincolnton struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Bandys racked up 13 assists.
Bandys is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for Lincolnton, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.
Bandys will head out on the road to take on the Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lincolnton, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Cavaliers at 6:15 p.m. East Burke will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
