St. Bernard has gone a perfect 3-0 against Staples recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The St. Bernard Saints will face off against the Staples Wreckers. One thing working in St. Bernard's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 matchups.

St. Bernard is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 97-41 win over Fairfield Prep. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Staples waltzed into their match on Tuesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 80-71. Given the Wreckers' advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Cougars are ranked 62nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Staples' win came from a few key players St. Bernard will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Dhilan Lowman, who went 6-for-9 from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points and five boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Adam Udell was another key player, dropping a double-double with 19 points and 11 assists.

Staples' victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points over those games. As for St. Bernard, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

St. Bernard beat Staples 63-56 in their previous matchup back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Bernard since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
