On Friday, Mills beat the Sharks 51-39.
Mills' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jefriel Bacorro led the charge by scoring 19 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Bacorro is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaeden Vazquez, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Mills' victory ended a 15-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-14. As for Oceana, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mills won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Dons at 1:30 p.m. on January 27th. Aragon will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Oceana, they will head out on the road to take on the Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
