Magruder is 9-1 against Watkins Mill since March of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Magruder Colonels will be playing at home against the Watkins Mill Wolverines at 7:15 p.m. Magruder will be looking to keep their ten-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Even though Magruder has not done well against Richard Montgomery recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Magruder enjoyed a cozy 70-54 victory over Richard Montgomery.
Magruder had a senior duo take command as Sekou Bangoura scored 27 points along with five rebounds and Aiden Dabbondanza dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Gerald Suarez was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Watkins Mill scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They secured a 73-67 W over Rockville. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Magruder's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Watkins Mill, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-14.
Magruder was able to grind out a solid win over Watkins Mill in their previous matchup back in January, winning 60-48. Does Magruder have another victory up their sleeve, or will Watkins Mill turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
