In what's become a running theme this season, the Dyett Eagles gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They put the hurt on Bogan with a sharp 77-51 win. Winning may never get old, but Dyett sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Devon Shelton, who scored 14 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Ahmari Taylor was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Dyett pushed their record up to 11-8 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Bogan, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
Dyett will head out on the road to square off against Phillips at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Phillips knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Dyett likes a good challenge. Bogan won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Proviso East at 5:30 p.m. on January 21st. Proviso East has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,163 points over their last 17 contests.
