Given Fostoria Baptist Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while Springfield Christian Academy is ranked 422nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Juniata Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 50-45 to Springfield Christian Academy.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Justice Zavitz, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Wright, who scored 11 points.
Fostoria Baptist Academy pushed their record up to 12-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Juniata Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
Everything came up roses for Fostoria Baptist Academy against Juniata Christian when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 55-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fostoria Baptist Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
