Louisburg and Baldwin are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The Louisburg Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Baldwin Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Last Friday, Louisburg beat Anderson County 44-37.
Baldwin has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 20 points or more this season. They breezed by Burlington on the road to the tune of 65-37. 65 seems to be a good number for Baldwin as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Baldwin got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cooper Carr out in front who scored 21 points along with 8 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Carr has scored at least 25% of Baldwin's points. Leo Schoenberger was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
Louisburg now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Baldwin, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Louisburg was dealt a bruising 66-31 defeat at the hands of Baldwin in their previous matchup back in January. Can Louisburg avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
