The Mobile Christian Leopards have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell just short of Chickasaw by a score of 55-52. Mobile Christian lost against Chickasaw in their previous head to head two weeks ago, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 74-65 score last time.
Mobile Christian lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Nicklaus Allen, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Hakeem Winston, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
It was another big night for JaMarion Osborne, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds for Chickasaw. The match was Osborne's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Sydrus Gilmore was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Mobile Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Chickasaw, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mobile Christian will take on Bayside Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chickasaw, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bayshore Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
