4A Conference 5 recap October 1, 2013
Mallard Creek added to the longest winning streak in 4A Conference 5 this week by beating West Charlotte, 59-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Mallard Creek led the league in scoring this week by notching 59 points on the Lions.
Hough's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Huskies feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Josh Stilley has thrown for 862 yards and 8 touchdowns this season, while Caleb Hines has 13 catches for 317 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when A.L. Brown takes on Vance. The Wonders are in fourth place, while the Cougars are in third place.
Hopewell made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,874 from 6,262. The improvement was largely due to a 42-13 victory over the Titans last week.
