Baseball Recap: Greenville Christian Academy's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Greenville Christian Academy won the last time they faced New Life Christian Academy and things went their way on Monday too. The Knights put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 15-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Carter Letchworth was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Letchworth was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Eli Suggs, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Jonathan Williams was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

Greenville Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Life Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .286.

The win was the third in a row for Greenville Christian Academy, bringing their record up to 6-2.
