Section 6 AA - South recap Sept. 26, 2012
Frontier moved up to 91 from 207 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 6 AA - South. The Falcons climbed the ranks as a result of a 27-10 win over the Falcons.
Orchard Park extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Frontier, 27-10. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Quakers.
Jamestown's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jacob Sisson threw for 207 and one touchdown and Zach Panebianco had 85 yards receiving. On the ground Da'quan Hollingsworth chipped in 148 yards. Stephen Carlson helped Jamestown's passing attack out by catching three balls for 78 yards.
Jamestown's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Red Raiders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Sisson has thrown for 644 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Panebianco has seven catches for 231 yards. Hollingsworth leads the league in rushing with 484 yards.
A big matchup in Section 6 AA - South this week will be when Timothy Myslinski's team takes on the Red Raiders. As it stands, the Falcons are in fourth, while Jamestown is in second.
Clarence and Lancaster played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Clarence eventually emerging with a 25-21 victory.
