Napoleon has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Northview Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Napoleon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
Last Friday, Napoleon made easy work of Bowling Green and carried off a 49-27 win. The victory was just what Napoleon needed coming off of a 64-44 loss in their prior game.
Napoleon can attribute much of their success to Ella Tassler, who scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds, and Makayla Kruse, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds. Lily Kruse was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Meanwhile, Northview came up short against Perrysburg on Friday and fell 46-37. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Northview in their matchups with Perrysburg: they've now lost three in a row.
The losses dropped Napoleon to 3-2 and Bowling Green to 2-4.
Napoleon came up short against Northview in their previous matchup back in January, falling 50-44. Can Napoleon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
