Last Tuesday, East Hill Christian lost to Gulf Pointe Latin at home by a decisive 32-16 margin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for East Hill Christian in their matchups with Gulf Pointe Latin: they've now lost six in a row.
Meanwhile, West Florida Baptist Academy entered their tilt with Central Christian with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. West Florida Baptist Academy strolled past Central Christian with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 53-34. Winning is a bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 18 to 9 on the offensive boards, as West Florida Baptist Academy did.
West Florida Baptist Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makenna Enfinger, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Olivia Pearce, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 18 rebounds.
East Hill Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
East Hill Christian took a serious blow against West Florida Baptist Academy in their previous meeting back in January, falling 51-22. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point East Hill Christian was down 30-8.
