The Norton Bluejays scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against Plainville as Norton made off with a 76-53 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Norton, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Norton was led to victory by Eli Jones and Roman Hauser. Jones scored 22 points along with two steals, while Hauser dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. Jones is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylen Murray, who scored 13 points.
Norton's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Plainville, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
Norton will be playing at home against the Plainsmen at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Oakley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 330th, while the Bluejays are ranked 88th). As for Plainville, they will head out on the road to take on the Ringnecks at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hill City will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
